This class is designed for middle managers and above (Lieutenants,
Captains, etc.) One 10 hour day. 0700 - 1700 select
Thursdays. Announcements will be made when class is scheduled.

Motorcycle Training Basic
Course
This class is designed for the rider who has not yet attended a
Motorcycle Training Course. Ten 8 hour days. Offered
Monday through Friday, 0730 - 1630 hrs. This is a POST Plan IV

Motorcycle Training Instructor
Course
This class is designed for the rider who has completed the Basic
Motorcycle Training Course. During second week, you will be an
instructor for the Basic Course. Motorcycle Training Basic
Course is a prerequisite. Ten 8 hour days. Offered
Monday through Friday, 0730 - 1630 hrs. This is a POST Plan IV
class. Cost of tuition is $ 1311.00

Defensive Driver Training Course (Civilian Employee)
One 8 hour day. Currently offered on Wednesdays and some Thursdays
0700 - 1600. Fee is pre-paid for County of Sacramento civilian
employees. Fee for County of Sacramento enterprise fund employees
such as Airports and Parking is $350. Checks can be made out to
Sacramento Sheriff's Department Training Trust Fund, or
journal-voucher between departments.
